STEAMing for Success requires a minimum of 15 students per campus to keep the program running.

STEAM for Success will be available each day- all school year- on Volusia County Schools school days until 5:00 pm. If Volusia County Schools cancels school for any reason, STEAM will close as well.

After school will be directed by Mrs. Inge, a National Board Certified Teacher, and graduate of University of Central Florida and Stetson University.  Mrs. Inge has been teaching for nineteen years and has been running STEAM for Success After School & Summer Camp for eight years.  She is lucky to have the best teachers and paraprofessionals to lead the program on each campus!

Want to know what to expect at STEAM for Success Summer Camp? Here are the details!
Kiddos will experience themed days such as Dino Day, Snow Day, Explosions & Eruptions, Up, Up & Away Day. Each day of each week has its own theme, no two days will be the same!
Each themed day will include:
A fun, old school style science experiment such as Coke & Mentos, sink or float, and dissecting owl pellets
An engineering task, such as Lego Landmark Challenge, building a zipline for toy figurines, and constructing marble tracks
An art project such as watercolors, clay volcanoes, and bubble art
There will be robots to play with, a 3D printer to try, but mostly the kiddos will enjoy hands on playful learning without sitting in front of a screen all day.
We may have a guest speaker, an engineer or two, a talented chef, and other experienced community members.
This program is designed to let kids be kids and explore science, tech, engineering, art, and math in a relaxed, fun setting. There will be a lot of play with STEAM activities and toys.
This is not a serious, college campus type of setting. It is geared toward all age groups, so even the youngest kiddos can enjoy the fun, and the older ones can be challenged as well.
Full refunds will no longer be issued after June 1st.
You are paying for your child’s space. We rent facilities and purchase supplies in advance for the amount of students registered. Therefore after June 1, there will be no refunds issued without a signed excuse from a physician. Refunds with physician notes will be given for up to 50% of the total balance.

We provide one (or more) science project, one engineering task, one art project, and many opportunities for play per day. We do our very best to plan and provide your children with a fun, safe learning experience. Therefore, STEAM refunds will not be issued for the following reasons:

  • My child didn’t make a new friend today.

  • My child didn’t want to participate.

  • My child is not the same age as most of the other children.

  • My child was dismissed for hitting/ behavior issues.

  • We changed plans.
